Around 1690, the French composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier composed a magnificent setting for choirs and soloist with orchestra. Its prelude, arranged by David Winkler, is triumphant and festive in character, making it an ideal selection for a concert opener, worship service prelude, or as a wedding processional or recessional.
