Combining some of the great themes from Brahm's 2nd Symphony with a warm and well-liked hymn as "Open Our Eyes" may be an accomplishment reserved for Rich Heffler, one of the main arrangers of special band literature in the Marine Band at this time. The solo lines and piano accompaniment flow well together, and along with the lines from the symphony, make a beautiful worship setting for any traditional or contemporary service.
