This arrangement was first played by Greg Christy, leader of the White House Strolling Strings at First Baptist Church in Woodbridge VA. Gregs' masterful handling of the runs and instrumental lines made communication of this great hymn a certainty. Players appreciate the opening unaccompanied playing of the melody, with the piano entering with warm lines after the first stanza. A truly beautiful arrangement.
