These carols were part of a series originally performed by the US Air Force Band or Marine Band Players. You may have heard some of these if you toured 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue at Christmas time a few years ago. Each carol is arranged in a different style. This set of carols provides a lot of variety for the professional string ensemble or string orchestra and is also accessible by good student groups. The included bass part is optional, making this music work for string quartets, quintets, and orchestras.
