Brethren We Have Met To Worship
River Song Productions|String » String Quartets
Price:$14.95
This 19th century 'call to worship' has a new arrangement to take it into the 21st century. The introduction uses parts of the melody followed by a four measure pattern in the lower strings. This pattern is then used as an ostinado under the melody in the 1st violin. There are duets between the 1st and 2nd violins, 2nd violin and viola, and viola and cello. However most of the arrangement consists of the use of the full ensemble. The melody is played twice, and in two different keys, with everyone getting their turn at the melody. This arrangement is suitable for a service opener, offeratory, or special music.
