These string quartets were first played by a professional quartet of Air Force Band members at the funeral of Greg Christy. Greg was the director of the Strolling String group for 17 years, that performed at the White House and other official Washington functions. All of these titles are also used and sung by the Promise Keepers group, and are found in most current hymnals. Each hymn is strong in its text, and meaning, and certainly is uplifting in any ministry or concert use. The arrangements are not complicated or too difficult. Each one is practical for the church or school string ensemble. Each title is a separate arrangement, and each has built in repeats for additional length as a prelude, offertory, postlude or concert piece.
