Here's a new arrangement of a magnificent Irish melody, which finds beautiful expression in the use of modal settings. This arrangement starts with the hauntingly beautiful sound of an alto flute. The harmony is creative, and a charming folk melody, from the Vaughn Williams English Folk Song Suite, is used as a counter-melody in the middle section. Each flutist, as well as the accompanist, has a solo part. You may feature the unique sound of the alto flute or use the standard C Flute as a substitute.
