Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing

A wonderful motif developed around the idea of the use of "horn fifths" between the clarinet and horn open this exciting arrangement. This motif continues as the other instruments join in on melodic and supportive parts. There are a couple of nice key changes and a nice section where pyramid chords in the ensemble accompany the melody heard in the flute. The ending uses material from the introduction for a full and satisfying ending. The substitute parts make the arrangement more versatile. Although not officially noted, the arranger says that the bassoon part may be played by a cello if needed. This piece will work well for offertories, preludes, or as a feature for the ensemble.
