This 14th century carol is set in a new arrangement reminiscent of the Medieval period. There are several key changes, and each voice of the trio plays an integral role, including playing the melody. The arranger has used the various registers of the clarinet to maximize the effect of the arrangement. This is a good piece for a prelude, offertory or special music during the Christmas season. It would also be a nice piece for a Madrigal feast.
