With a rhythmic vamp in the piano, the excitement begins. The flutes enter with a three octave melody line. They soon go into harmony and move from a minor tonality to the major. This piece is a wonderful expression of joy, and everyone gets to share the joy, as the melody is tossed from instrument to instrument. A clarinet substitute for the third flute is provided for extra versatility. This piece would be a nice uplifting prelude or offertory.
