Price:$19.95

"The Strife Is Over: The Battle Won!" is arranged in celebration of the greatest event in the history of the world: the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ. Originally entitled by Palestrina as "Victory" as a tribute to the Savior's glorious victory over death, this modern Ken Bauer arrangement is artfully written as a contemporary piece for woodwind quartet. Beginning with a fanfare which is designed to be glorious yet unassuming, "The Strife Is Over: The Battle Won!" gently moves into a gracefully flowing background that is designed to set up the easily accessible, yet effective flute solo at rehearsal letter A. After the interlude at B which is taken from the famous Palestrina motif, each performer solos a descant while the melody is pass around. Written at the medium difficulty level, yet impressively effective, each player enjoys opportunities to solo. Although it is appropriate anytime, it is extremely fitting for performance during the Easter season.
