Beginning with a stately presentation of the Palestrina tune in 3/4, the piece moves to cut time, evolving into an expansive section of "Thine Is the Glory." Strong melodic variation and exciting moving parts lead to a final, stately conclusion of the Palestrina tune, beautifully conveying Christ's victory over death.
