Once again Ralph Montgomery shows his mastery of weaving melodies together--here he uses two William Bradbury hymns. After a chromatic introduction, the arrangement first presents "The Solid Rock (My Faith Is Built On Nothing Less...") with moving harmonies and chromatic interludes between phrases. The tuba or bass trombone then plays "Just As I Am" while the other instruments 'fill.' The piece ends with both hymn tunes and a driving, chromatic conclusion.
