The glorious theme "Joy to the World" is the basis for this short fanfare. It may be used as an opener for any formal event which is part of the Christmas season. And since the fanfare ends in the dominant A major, it may also be used for an introduction to "Joy to the World," usually sung in D major. This fanfare works with just three trumpets, yet is expandable to brass choir.
