"Praise Kids for Beginners" is the third volume in Dr. Jim Lucas' series of keyboard books for the young player. This one is dedicated to providing fun for the very beginning piano student. The student will learn the names of the notes and how to count as part of the process of preparing hymns, choruses, and gospel songs. One verse of text for each song has been included in the music. "Praise Kids for Beginners" is suitable for students to play at home, at church, and at recitals. The student's part is always on the left page, with a teacher's accompaniment part on the right. All fingering is printed for the student and any beginning theory elements that would be helpful to underscore what is being taught are also included. As a bonus, the back of the book includes a series of five exercises which support and enhance the process of learning the songs. When the student has successfully completed this volume, it will be a logical progression to the two volumes of the "Praise Kids Easy Piano" series.
