This traditional collection of hymntunes is from the pen of Dr. David Howard, professor of music theory and composition, and church music and digital music technology at George Fox University. Most of the settings are of medium difficulty, but a few will pose some challenge to the church musician. Expression and pedal markings are sparingly placed, encouraging the pianist to use his or her own creative judgement in performance. A reading of each text is provided to aid in personal interpretation.
